Arts and Entertainment Reporter Micah Sanders is a junior broadcast journalism major from DeSoto, Texas., which is about 20 miles outside of Dallas.  Sanders was chosen as September’s Student of the Month because of his ability to take the initiative “to make something happen.”   He is an honor student who chose to work with The Hornet Tribune this year to gain more leadership skills.  Sanders said, “Working at a newspaper really requires a lot of time management, organization and communication skills and I really wanted to develop them further.  So The Hornet Tribune seemed like a very demanding but also fun way to express my love for all things in the entertainment industry through writing and not just talking to my family and friends about it.”
