What’s for dinner tonight? Don’t know?  ASU alumnus (’99) and entrepreneur says try his new wing joint, Wing It On!

Quincy Minor, an experienced business owner and IT professional, is the franchise owner of the new restaurant located at 692 McQueen Smith Road in Prattville.

The longtime Prattville resident said he is excited to fill the market’s need for fresh and crispy wings.

“This is my first venture in the food business,” Minor said. “I wanted to bring a quality wing restaurant to the area and fill a void that I saw in my community.”

The new store offers takeout, delivery and curbside pickup Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wing It On! also offers catering.

Minor said the restaurant’s menu is streamlined but tasty and fans of the brand will experience “insanely delicious” boneless buffalo wings cooked and sauced to perfection.

“They can also enjoy juicy chicken fingers and chicken sandwiches, as well as a selection of three types of seasoned fries and 24 types of sauces,” he added.

Minor said his Wing It On! franchise is the first to be located outside of the New Jersey/Connecticut area. “I’m the first franchise down South but they will be opening franchises in Atlanta, Florida and Texas in the near future,” he said.

Minor hopes to expand his franchise as well.  “I have the territory for Autauga, Elmore, Pike and Montgomery counties,” he remarked.

Minor pointed out that his commitment to youth will be reflected in his new franchise.

“I plan to institute a charitable giving program called Even Up at the restaurant to benefit the Autauga County School System,” he said.

Here’s how it works: If a customer’s order comes to $19.50, the customer will be asked to round or even that out to $20. The extra change collected will be donated to the local school system.

Prior to owning his franchise business, Minor was the President/COO of Information Transportation Solutions Inc., which he sold about two and half years ago to a publicly trading company where he remains the Vice President.

A member of ASU’s inaugural 50 under 50 class, Minor continues to support O’ Mother Dear as an Advisory Board member of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and a board member for the Percy J. Vaughn, Jr. College of Business Administration.

Minor attributes his success to the strong educational foundation he received from the College of Business.

“The college was under my mentor, the late Dr. Percy J. Vaughn, who was a scholar, educator and founding dean of the College of Business,” Minor said.

Minor, a former member of the Mighty Marching Hornets, has strong community ties and is a member of several organizations, including the Leadership Autauga Board. He is in partnership with the Autauga Education Foundation that supports the Autauga County School System and is a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
