82nd annual McDonalds Magic City Classic: Tickets, Parking, Parade and Shuttle information

It’s four days from the 2023 college football McDonalds Magic City Classic between Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University. The game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28th.

This is the 82nd annual classic at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama, and the winner could potentially earn a spot in the SWAC Championship. The all-time Magic City Classic record is 43-35-3 with A&M leading the series. However, the Hornets came out on top in last year’s contest 24-17.

Here is the all information you need to know for all the festivities surround this year’s classic:

Tickets

General Admission Game Ticket: $25

Parking

Shuttle ride is $5 roundtrip and children 6 and under ride free. (ACCEPTED PAYMENT: CREDIT ONLY)

SHIPT SHUTTLE LOCATIONS:

1.  Birmingham Crossplex

This is your best option for parking and shuttle transportation if your not interested in attending the morning parade downtown. Avoids all the downtown traffic.

Hours: 9 a.m.- 10:30 p.m.

Estimated Shuttle Ride Time: 20 minutes

2. Park Place 

Park in the Boutwell Auditorium parking deck located at 801 19th St North, Birmingham, AL 35203 and walk across the street to the shuttle pickup. The parking deck opens at 10:30 a.m.

Hours: 11:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m.

3.  7th Ave N & 23rd St N – Downtown

PARADE

WHAT: The parade will be led by the McDonald’s float carrying celebrities and the Magic City Classic Ambassador. Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University will both make appearances and admission is free. The parade also will be broadcast LIVE on Fox 6 in Birmingham in Huntsville and Montgomery.

WHEN: 8 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 28

WHERE: Downtown Birmingham

Parade Route:

Start: Corner of 18th Street North and 7th Avenue North

Right on 19th Street North

Left on 6th Avenue North

Right on Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd.

Right on 4th Avenue North

Finish: Corner of 16th Street North and 4th Avenue North
